We are currently accepting pitches for essays about the intersection between art and technology for our online column on Neon Door called "The Immersive Future". We’re seeking pieces that explore the potentials that virtual reality, the metaverse, and immersive technologies create for a new form of storytelling. Payment is $250. 


Submission Guidelines:
All pitches should include a paragraph detailing the arguments/points the essay will make. Please also submit an author bio and links to or attachments of 2-3 bylines.

At this time, we are particularly interested in environmental art or art associated with/commenting on the environment and climate, as well as art related to history, and how the past impacts/instructs/constructs the present.

Submission Guidelines:

Video: up to 5 minutes long; submit as .avi, .m4v, .mov, .mp4, or .mpg

Visual arts: up to 10 images; submit as .gif, .jpg, .png, .svg, or .tif files
